Intro to Fire Making

In this 2 hour workshop you will learn the basics of fire construction, from the ingredients to the the maintenance. We will cover tinder, kindling, and fuel. How to find dry material and choose the best ingredients for your situation. We will also cover methods of fire building including; 1 match, fire glass, ferrocerium rod, battery, and flint and steel.

Minnesota is a cornucopia of outdoor activities. We all need these skills.Do you want to know how to start a fire to keep you and your family warm? Do you want to know how to start a fire in the rain? Each student will come out of this experience with a new sense of confidence, and an advanced knowledge of how to make, maintain and use fire in a outdoor setting
